Fight for your dream

"All the adversity I've had in my life, all my troubles and obstacles has strengthened me... You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you."
~ Walt Disney.
"All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them". ~ Walt Disney.

Words from a visionary, a miracle makers, a man who lived and dreamed his fantasies and shared them with the world. To dream is only the beginning, to make it happen is where the magic lies. Because within perusing one's dreams we learn much about ourselves and those around us. Giving up is never an option. Dreams often no matter how small or large can take time, dedication, can be a long tiring, and difficult road, but how much sweeter the success is once you have realized what you are capable of, and only through the fight will you learn who you truly are.

I have always wanted to be a writer; often writing my siblings essays and stories for them was the highlight of my teenage years. And now I can say for sure I am a writer, as this is my very first article as a published writer. It did not come easy. It took long hours of promoting myself as an established writer. But what caught the attention of the chief editor of Inspirational Unlimited magazine was the little guest posts and interviews I had done for my blogger friends. The way I pushed myself to get what I wanted. My biggest dream from a very young age has always been to inspire others, to instill a feeling of hope and beauty. And now I am writing for an inspirational magazine, in the hopes that my words can change the mindset of someone who has been disconnected from their dreams by life or by others. So tell me how are we supposed to make our dreams come true if you do not make them true? Dreams do not just fall on your lap. You think actors, musicians, poets, authors and models just got a lucky break? Perhaps, but being discovered is only the beginning, it's what comes after that. If you do not work at it your dream will never last, and the sense of victory will fade quickly. You are the creator of your happiness in every aspect. I leave you with this to think about: Your dreams can become much more than a dream if you persevere through those times when you feel you want to give up, push through those times when it all seems lost, and the fight feels like an eternity.
My dream of becoming a published author/writer has taken me three long years of 100% dedication, tears, blood, sweat and failures. You cannot grow without failure. I do not see it as failure I see it as a steppingstone in the right direction. Failure will be giving up, or to not try at all. So to you my fellow reader and friend - Your dream starts today, make it happen and forward the message on to those around you. Magic does exist because you make it so.

"Do not be crippled by fear, let love give you wings".
