"I want to do something", is a candle of hope that burns in the minds of millions of people in India today. A handful of those go on to light up the world fighting all odds and remain an example to many others. One such youngster is -

Aishwarya S, a 19 year old student pursuing her B.Com from Vijaya College, Bangalore (India) who is the Founder of the Rice Bag Project.

"My Grandfather is my inspiration because when he came to Bangalore he didn't even have a penny, but struggled hard to give his family a respectable life," says Aishwarya S who grew up amidst difficulties but never gave up her quest for the right platform. Low self-confidence and low self-esteem bogged her down only till a platform knocked her door. She became a part of i3 - a conference based program and a change driven platform, which gave her opportunities week after week to explore herself and let the world know what she is capable of.

It was after one of the conferences that she came up with the idea of the Rice Bag Project and brought to life new bags from old rice sacs. She goes door to door asking for 25 kgs rice bags, collects them, cleans them and remakes these into reusable bags. Till date, 70+ bags have been made and distributed by her. Alongside making these bags she goes around her community to spread awareness about recycling and re-use. Her story has also been covered in Deccan Herald for the good work she has been doing at her age.

"You can give me any waste, I see a potential in it and I am confident of giving it a new life," says Aishwarya. A girl who feared speaking to people of her age, today stands proud as a Founder of a project. "I want to be an Entrepreneur, and I want to inspire many more lives," is what she told us when asked about her dream.

When life drags you back into difficulties it just means that it's going to launch you into something great. Isn't that so true?
