The Most Lavish Resorts in Vietnam

Vietnam is a stunning country to visit wherever you're staying. However, with a growing luxury tourism industry, sometimes it's more than worth it to ditch the hostel and go for a five-star option instead. If you've got a bit of cash to splash and a taste for the luxuries in life then we've got the lowdown on the best places to stay in the country. From solitary and tranquil retreats to grand beachside resorts, Vietnam has something for every kind of discerning traveler, this is our pick of them.

Six Senses Con Dao

Vietnam is a large country so there can sometimes be an awful lot of your valuable vacation time wasted getting to your final destination. The Six Senses hotel group is aware of this but also likes travelers to have the feeling that they're in total seclusion. Thankfully they are the masters of finding destinations that feel remote but are actually relatively easily accessible. The Six Senses Con Dao stays true to this ethos, located just forty minutes by plane from Ho Chi Min City, but in a protected area of outstanding natural beauty as well. The resort sits across the border of a national park and a marine park too, so it's the dream location for anyone with an interest in nature. It's also the only five-star resort to be found in the archipelago islands of Vietnam, so it really does represent the height of luxury for this location.

As well as stunning views of the Lo Voi Mountains and the marine park, there's plenty to love about the facilities that the Six Senses Con Dao offers. There's a huge private beach, every villa has its own pool and all rooms have staggering views. Inside, the decor is contemporary but with splashes of the past of this former fishing village. Guests can enjoy several world-class dining options, as well as an on-site spa with reiki and massage treatments. Whilst this resort is pretty much faultless in our eyes, although you won’t be saving any money by staying here, it went one step further, ensuring that its construction had the smallest impact possible on the environment. Sometimes making eco-friendly choices can detract from the luxury feel of a resort, but in the case of this resort, it's only strengthened the story of the brand.

The Grand Ho Tràm Strip

Next is a totally different experience at The Grand Ho Tram Strip. This location has become one of the biggest entertainment spots in Vietnam, with two five-star resorts, both competing with endless options for tourists. Located right by the beach around two and a half hours from Ho Chi Minh, Ho Tram is an ideal resort for those wanting to combine modern conveniences with some beachside fun.

The Grand is particularly special because it is the largest hotel casino in the whole of Vietnam, so those who are fans of gaming will have a truly great time here. There are plenty of table games and hundreds of slot machines, catering to gamers of all abilities. If you'd like to get in a little practice beforehand then there's complimentary wifi throughout the building and plenty of options for those wanting to play at a VN online casino.
Asiabet has compiled an exhaustive guide to the best casinos in the country, including any bonuses so that you can arrive at the hotel's casino feeling confident that you know how each of the games works. In order to be granted a casino license a new build casino is required to have had $2 billion invested in it to qualify. It's clear from the moment that you step through the doors at The Grand Ho Tram Strip that there's been plenty more than that invested in it. With over fifteen restaurants, eight swimming pools, two spas, and one of the best golf courses in the whole of Asia, this resort has enough entertainment options to keep anybody happy for months on end.

Anantara Mui Ne Set on the beach of Mui Ne, Anantara's resort is the jewel in the crown of this picturesque location. Right on the southern coast of Vietnam, this resort has masterfully combined traditional Vietnamese decor with unparalleled service and total comfort. There's a stunning pool overlooking the beach and shrouded by palms with a gorgeous teak deck, so pretty you almost wouldn't want to leave. That is of course unless you want to hike through the sand dunes surrounding the resort, relax and sunbathe in your own private garden, or head to the spa for an oil massage. There's a beautiful restaurant too, where they're happy to serve you dinner on the starlit beach. This resort is one that has to be seen to be believed and if we were heading to Vietnam, we'd be staying at Anantara Mui Ne.
