Oxygen drops. Your mind slows. You suffer frostbite. The wilderness plays with your mind. A silly mistake can cost your life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">I was riding alone on some of the world\u2019s most fatal roads, known for their kill count. And I was alone without a back-up van or any support, in regions where there is no network coverage. If I fall off a cliff, no one would even know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">It was there I understood the brilliance of a calm mind, emotional fortitude, a regulated nervous system, and about faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">The mountains do not care about your gender, your trauma, or your ambition. They test you. They put you in life-or-death situations. I was willing for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">When someone said, \u201cThat\u2019s very risky. You are inviting death,\u201d my answer was, \u201cThat would be a great honour.\u201d In fact, I donated my organs before I started the ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">The point is, once I start my ride, I have no questions, no doubts, and no battles to fight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">It\u2019s the road, my motorcycle, and me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p2\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#0693e3\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">5. At the Army check-post in Ladakh, when you were told you were the first woman to complete that route solo, what did that realization awaken in you?<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">I never aimed to set a record. I never checked if someone had done it before me. In fact, the question did not even arise in my imagination.
