I checked my numbers on LinkedIn Learning the other day and realized something. Across my four courses, I’ve now taught 50,000 learners. That’s a big number and it took me a minute to actually let it sink in. These are real people, sitting down and choosing to spend their time learning from something I made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I didn’t start out planning to teach at this scale. I’ve been a full stack web developer for years, mostly living inside the Laravel and TALL stack world, and somewhere along the way I started making YouTube videos<\/a> just to explain things the way I wished someone had explained them to me. That turned into eBooks, then Laracasts courses, and eventually “Laravel Essential Training<\/a>” on LinkedIn Learning, my first real course on the platform. Each step felt small at the time. Looking back, they all built on each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My first two courses covered the basics, taking someone who had never built anything in Laravel before and walking them through their first small project, step by step, until it actually worked. “Advanced Laravel<\/em><\/strong>” came next, once I had a better sense of what learners actually struggled with, aimed at people who already had the basics down and wanted to build something closer to a real product. And my newest one, “Tailwind CSS 4 Essential Training<\/em><\/strong>,” finally let me bring in a topic I’d already been talking about on YouTube and in my eBooks for years, this time focused purely on the front end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ratings have been a nice confirmation along the way. The Laravel courses sit around a 4.7, and a lot of learners describe finally understanding Laravel from scratch after struggling with it elsewhere. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That reaction means a lot, because it’s exactly why I started teaching. I still think about how confusing these concepts felt when I was learning them myself, and I keep that in mind every time I plan a lesson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fifty thousand learners in, the excitement hasn’t worn off. It shows up in small moments now more than big ones. A comment saying something finally clicked, especially something that took me a while to understand myself, still gets me every time. So does watching a course idea turn from a rough outline into a finished project someone can actually build along with. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I like going back to old topics with fresh eyes and finding a better way to explain them the second or third time around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every so often someone writes in to say they landed a job or shipped their first real app after taking a course, and that stays with me longer than almost anything else. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even the smaller parts, like finding the one example that makes a concept click, or getting a comment sharp enough to make me think harder about my own material, still feel worth showing up for. And there’s something quietly satisfying about knowing a course I recorded once is still out there helping someone new, long after I’ve moved on to the next one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s the part that keeps me coming back to this work. There’s more course material already in progress, and I’m genuinely looking forward to where the next 50,000 learners come from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
