Michael Teoh Su Lim

Michael Teoh is a Malaysia Book of Records Holder, an entrepreneur, trainer cum speaker (By passion) and consultant. He is often invited to speak, coach and consult organizations in the fields of Motivation, Maximizing People Potentials, Youth (Emerging Talent) Development, Communications and Strategy.

Throughout his passion to develop people through practical examples and easy-to-follow strategies, Michael has been invited to speak to young employees from organisations like the Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Youth & Sports, several Malaysian banks and multinational companies across the region.

He is also the youngest Board of Trustee for the National Student Volunteers Foundation, the flagship non-for-profit body under the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education. He has also served as a Judge for Malaysia's largest and most prestigious social innovation competition (Challenge.my) organised by the Agency for Innovation (AIM) under the Prime Minister's Office, offering a start-up capital of RM100,000 (USD $50,000) for the development of social solutions to communities.

On a global level, Michael Teoh is also the Honorary Advisor for Youth In Economics & Entrepreneurship Development for the World Youth Parliament based in Geneva, Switzerland, and directly reports to the President-elect himself. He was also recognized as a Golden Key Honorary member in Malaysia.

For students, he has devoted his time to address crowds as far away as in Stanford University, Manchester University, Nottingham University, Institute Technology Bandung, Nairobi University, Auckland University to local institutions across Asia.

Prior to returning to Malaysia in 2012, Michael won the world's largest social entrepreneurship competition among 45,000 people from 168 countries in the UK, called Your Big Year where he ventured to 22 countries in 2011 working with NGOs and companies on humanitarian and environmental projects. He was also awarded the prestigious World Youth Traveler Awards at the World Youth Travel Awards in Barcelona, Spain and was recognized as one of the world's leading enterprising youth by the Global Entrepreneurship Week in 2011.

Locally, he was awarded Malaysia's Most Enterprising Youth of 2010 by the Deputy Prime Minister and as the Country's Youth Icon by the Malaysian Achievement Awards before being inducted into the Malaysian Achievers Hall of Fame in 2012. His nomination for the Perdana Youth Awards by mid of 2012 was also endorsed by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, himself.

He is a columnist for the nation's daily newspaper (The New Straits Times) on Youth Development topics, while also serving his role as the Managing Editor for Entrepreneurs.my, a Malaysian entrepreneurship resource website serving 40,000 readers monthly from SMEs to Students to Investors.

His thoughts about the emerging potentials of youths have been featured on CNN and Mashable while his speeches had echoed through the halls of the United Nations in New York, Nairobi and Geneva. His work has carried various recognition including a written testimonial by the New Zealand Prime Minister, to even a special mention by the Malaysian Prime Minister, to name a few. He was also elected as the representative of Asian youths to multiple global conferences, engaging in high level policy and youth discussions (One Young World in London & Zurich, the World Youth Parliament in Nairobi, the World Youth Summit in Colombia and the Global Entrepreneurship Week initiative in the UK and Malaysia).
