Legrand | AV Wins Big at CEDIA Expo 2021
Da-Lite, Luxul, On-Q, and SANUS Receive Residential Systems Best of Show, Residential Tech Today 2021 Innovation, CE Pro Best Product, and Connected Design Awards
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Sept. 15, 2021 —
Legrand | AV today announced that its brands combined to earn seven awards at CEDIA Expo 2021 in Indianapolis. Da-Lite, Luxul, and On-Q were each recognized with Residential Systems Best of Show Awards; Luxul and SANUS both earned Residential Tech Today 2021 Innovation Awards; Da-Lite won a CE Pro Best Product Award; and On-Q received a Connected Design Award. Prior to CEDIA, SANUS was also recognized with a TWICE VIP Award.
"The decision not to attend CEDIA Expo this year due to the Delta variant was a difficult one, but we greatly appreciate the recognition our brands received for the products they would have introduced at the show," said Megan Knedler, director of marketing at Legrand | AV. "We thank Residential Systems, Residential Tech Today, CE Pro, and Connected Design for these prestigious awards and hope to accept them in person next time."
Residential Systems Best of Show Award winners were chosen based on a number of criteria, including value, impact, and uniqueness to the market. This year, judges were impressed with Da-Lite's Agility™ Battery Motor, Luxul's large managed L2/L3 Gigabit switches, and On-Q's Dual-Purpose In-Wall Enclosures. The Residential Tech Today 2021 Innovation Awards honored products for going above and beyond as solutions for everyday tech home challenges and for helping serve the comfort and lifestyle wants and needs of homeowners. Luxul's large managed L2/L3 Gigabit switches and SANUS' VLT7 Advanced Tilt 4D TV wall mount were named winners in the Networking and Video Mount categories, respectively.
Da-Lite's Agility Battery Motor also received a CE Pro Best Product Award for Projection Screen in the Home Theater/Multi-Room Audio/Video category. Judged by CE Pro editors and industry leaders based on innovation, functionality, and competitive advantages and benefits to the installer, the annual Best Product Awards celebrate the most noteworthy new products and technologies of the year.
On-Q's Dual-Purpose In-Wall Enclosures were additionally honored by the Connected Design Awards program, which recognizes the best-designed technologies and solutions that are improving and accelerating the smart home industry and the disciplines they serve. Entries were judged by an esteemed panel of experts from the custom integration and design and architecture communities based on design, innovation, and application.
As an option for powering Da-Lite's Tensioned Designer Contour® Electrol® and Designer Contour Electrol ceiling- or wall-mounted screens, the Agility Battery Motor is ideal for retrofit installations requiring a flexible alternative to hardwiring. It features a lithium-ion battery that lasts over 200 cycles on a single charge and wireless hand-held remote operation and screen surfaces up to 16K-ready. With their SFP and ultra-fast SFP+ ports — in addition to ample PoE budgets, powerful management tools, and blazing-fast switching and uplink speeds — Luxul's SW-510-48P-F, SW-610-24P-R, and SW-610-48P-F large managed L2/L3 Gigabit switches allow integrators to tackle the largest of managed networks with ease.
Available in 9-inch and 17-inch form factors, On-Q Dual-Purpose In-Wall Enclosures can be used to house cable boxes, streaming players, and more behind a TV or as WiFi transparent enclosures for structured wiring, providing a centralized area to store video, voice, and data components. The SANUS VLT7 Advanced Tilt 4D TV wall mount allows mounted displays to be tilted in four different directions. 15-degree swivel capabilities and 6.8 inches of extension from the wall allow easy access to components and cabling once the display is mounted. The ProSet Plus™ feature allows for 1-inch post-install height and level adjustment.
The TWICE VIP Awards program honors the best features, designs, and value that new products are bringing to consumers. Winners were announced in the magazine's Aug. 13 edition, with the SANUS Soundbar TV Mount for the Sonos Arc (WSSATM1-B2) and Extendable Wall Mount for the Sonos Arc (WSSAWM1-B2) taking the prize in the Home Theater: Furniture category. Together, these solutions enable integrators to easily and seamlessly incorporate the Sonos Arc virtually anywhere their clients want by mounting it to a TV or directly to the wall, while allowing them to fine-tune the mounts' height and depth to ensure clearance for the Arc's speakers.
