BMS College of Commerce and Management is proud to announce the remarkable achievements of its students in recent intercollegiate events across cultural, athletic and academic fields. Our students have demonstrated exceptional talent, dedication, and hard work bringing numerous accolades to the institution.
Achievements at Sourabha 2024
Bhavaranga, the theatre club of BMS College of Commerce and Management participated in Sourabha 2024 hosted by Team Rangasourabha in February 2024, securing several prestigious awards as follows:
- 3rd Place in Debate
- 1st Place in Prabhanda (Essay)
- 2nd Place in Deshabhakthi Geethe (Patriotic Song)
- 1st Place in Janapada Geethe (Folk Song)
- 1st Place in Sugama Geethe
- 1st Place in Shastriya Vadya
- 1st Place with Rolling Trophy in Vachana Gayana
- Rolling Trophy in Shastriya Nruthya
- 1st Place with Rolling Trophy in Mime
- 1st Place with Rolling Trophy in Rangageethe Drushyavalli
- Hithu S for Best Acting Award
- Overall Best for Best Set, Best Lighting, Best Costume, and Best Promotion
- Overall 1st Place for Best Actor
- 4th Place for Drama
- 2nd Place Overall, Runners-up Rolling Shield
Achievements at ENACT 24
Bhavaranga also excelled at ENACT 24 hosted by St. Joseph’s College of Commerce in March 2024, securing the following awards:
- Overall Best 1st Place for Best Use of Stage Properties
- Overall Best 1st Place for Best Stage Design
Achievements in Athletics
The athletics team of BMS College of Commerce and Management demonstrated outstanding performance at the Bengaluru City University Inter Collegiate Athletic Championship held at Sri Kanteerava Stadium, Bangalore.
- Mounesh (3rd BCOM) secured 2nd Place in both the 400 metres and 200 metres.
- Kantireshan (1st BCA) secured 3rd Place in the 400 metres.
- Ruchira (2nd BCOM) secured 3rd Place in Shot Put Throw.
- The 4x400 metres relay team secured 4th Place.
Achievements in Cricket
The BMSCCM cricket team participated in the J.S.R. Inter Collegiate Cricket Tournament on 8th and 9th January 2024 at Electronic City and secured 3rd Place. Individual accolades include:
- Best Bowler Award – Paramashiva (1st BCOM)
- Best Batsman Award – Kiran Raj (2nd BBA)
Achievements in Football
The BMSCCM football team participated in the Bengaluru City University Intercollegiate Football Tournament on 9th and 11th January 2024 at MVIT Ground, organized by St. Joseph’s Commerce College, and emerged as Runners-up.
Academic Excellence
Miss Shirisha Suresh from the BBA 2020-23 batch secured 9th Rank in the Bengaluru City University examination, highlighting our commitment to academic excellence.
Achievements in Intercollegiate Fest
Second semester BBA students, Vinit Patel, Akshat Suthar, and Jay Kotari, participated in the intercollegiate fest organized by St. Francis College in the event Atrangi Satrangi and won 2nd Place with a cash prize of Rs. 3000/-.
