And if submerged, doors and windows remain usable long enough for escape. 

Porsche Macan

The latest Macan also achieved five stars in Euro NCAP’s December 2024 evaluation. It scored 90% adult occupant and child occupant, 83% vulnerable road users, and 78% safety assist. Its passenger cabin remained stable in frontal impact, offering strong protection to all critical body areas. Optional assisted driving tech has since been rated “Very Good” by Euro NCAP in 2025. 

Cupra Tavascan

Cupra’s first EV coupe-SUV delivered a full fivestar rating. Scores include 89% adult occupant, 86% child occupant, 80% vulnerable road user and 79% safety assist. Test reports highlighted stable structure in frontal offsets and good protection of knees and femurs. Standard safety kit includes eCall, lane-keep assist and incidentdetection systems. 

Toyota CHR

Both the CHR and its PHEV version achieved five stars in Euro NCAP testing in spring 2025. Front and side impacts offered strong protection all around, though there was a penalty for rearseat ‘submarining’. Advanced AEB systems worked well in headon and other test scenarios.
