Suharth Foundation to Host ‘Chai with Saina’ in Hyderabad to Advance Sustainable Menstrual Hygiene

Hyderabad | September 2026: Suharth Foundation is set to host “Chai with Saina” on Sunday, 20 September 2026, at Medicover Hospitals, Financial District, Hyderabad, bringing together government representatives, CSR leaders, corporates, philanthropists, healthcare professionals, brands, media, changemakers and young girls for conversations around sustainable menstrual hygiene and ending Period Poverty.

Taking place from 4:00 PM onwards, the event is built around the theme “A Cup of Tea. A Conversation. A Cause.” and aims to create a platform where conversations can lead to partnerships, action and measurable social impact.

At the centre of the initiative is Mission 2030 — Empowering 1 Million Girls, Suharth Foundation’s long-term commitment to improving access to menstrual hygiene products, awareness and dignity for girls and women, particularly those from underserved communities.

The event will feature Saina Nehwal, Social Ambassador of Suharth Foundation, in an engaging interaction with attendees. A key highlight will be the launch of a Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Booklet featuring Saina Nehwal, developed as an educational resource to help young girls better understand menstrual health, hygiene and informed menstrual choices.

The programme will also include a Doctors’ Panel on “Menstrual Health & Sustainable Hygiene”, conversations with influential guests, a rapid-fire interaction, “Ask Anything to Saina,” and the signature “Ask Till Your Chai Lasts” conversation. Organic Pads and Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Books will also be distributed as part of the Foundation’s efforts to improve access to menstrual hygiene resources for girls who need them most.

The initiative is being supported by partners including Hyderabadi Chai Adda, Medicover Hospitals, Kalories, UI and Ecozen, with iU Online Media as the Digital Partner.

Speaking about the initiative, Hiteshi Dutta, Founder, Suharth Foundation, said:

“Chai with Saina is not just about bringing people into one room. It is about bringing the right people into one conversation. We want these conversations to lead to partnerships, action and measurable impact.

Mission 2030 is ambitious, but we believe that when corporates, government, philanthropists, NGOs, institutions and individuals come together with a shared purpose, empowering one million girls is an achievable goal.”

Suharth Foundation is inviting corporates, CSR leaders, foundations, brands, NGOs, institutions and individuals to join the movement and contribute to building sustainable solutions around menstrual hygiene.

Because the goal is not simply to talk about Period Poverty. The goal is to end it.
