With so much discussion on the internet about search engine impressions for content published across various platforms and websites, we thought this article was a must for us to publish this month.
We invested time in analyzing and understanding the rankings of various pages published on Inspiration Unlimited over the past year. This is an annual audit we regularly conduct in January to evaluate what performed well and what didn’t over the last year, enabling us to design a game plan for the upcoming year.
Our core lessons covered several aspects, but one thing that stood out was an article we wrote on the Top 23 Romantasy books.

While researching keywords to focus on, we realized that the keyword “romantasy” was being searched a lot during the closing months of 2024. This insight inspired us to compile a list of the best titles for our readers and others searching for quality books in this genre.
Our team selected several titles, rejected many, and eventually compiled a list of the 23 top books in this genre. Some might argue that Google’s core updates in September and December led to articles published during these months struggling to find an audience. However, that wasn’t true for us.
The inspiring stories of Mr. Murlikant Petkar and Captain GR Gopinath topped the charts for organic results on our pages via Google search over the past year. This was understandable since the traffic to these stories on the internet was immense, owing to the movies based on them. People were bound to search for these stories, and search engines directed traffic to blogs that had written quality content on the topic.

What truly surprised us was how quickly the article on romantic fantasy books gained traction. Within just a few months of its publication, the article consistently ranked among the top-performing pages week after week.
While the compilation was thoroughly researched, AI assistance in editing the article played a significant role. This experience debunked the misconception that search engines penalize AI-generated content. Search engines don’t have an issue serving AI-assisted content as long as the compilation is unique and offers genuine value to its audience. The high time spent on the page by readers confirmed that serving quality content leads to better results in search engine rankings.
Our key lessons at IU from this experience include:
1. Using AI for editing does no harm to search engine traffic.
2. Monitoring search trends and producing quality content for seekers is essential.
3. Search engines reward relevant content immediately; the age of the page alone is not a decisive factor.
4. If your content delivers value to searchers, you are bound to gain traffic—and a substantial share of it.

Interestingly, we also observed a mix of older pages generating significant traffic over the past year. Surprisingly, 15 pages featuring quality inspiring quotes attracted a lot of traffic from search engines, indicating a strong demand for such content. We also noticed traffic on pages explaining quotes, further confirming the search audience’s interest in this area. Articles on topics like the benefits of running regularly, recommended gadgets, the importance of drinking water, and other practical, life-improving content also ranked among the most visited pages of the year.
We hope this article inspires the right strategies for getting your pages to rank among the top results on Google search.
