Love The Skin You're In

Having been practicing as a skin and hair expert doctor for quite some time now, I’ve come to the realization that we, more often than not, tend to take the largest organ of our body- SKIN, for granted.
Love The Skin You're In
The best thing you can do for your skin is take care of it appropriately.

As a matter of fact, the skin is the first line of protection in the defence mechanism of the body.  It is wonderful in its function and certainly requires the extra care.

I’m going to be listing below briefly how each one of us, irrespective of age or gender can take care of our Skin.

Firstly let’s start off the CTM routine.

For those of us not aware of this, CTM stands for Cleanse, Tone and Moisturize.

1. Clense

Cleanse your face thoroughly with a gentle cleanser that suits your skin type. Do not over do this step. Washing your face 2-3 times a day is sufficient. I do not recommend cleansing the face beyond 5 times a day.

Please remember to cleanse the neck region along with all areas exposed to the sun, including chest, hands and feet as per your discretion.

Please note- the skin on your face is tenderer and is also exposed to a lot of harmful rays as opposed to the other parts of your body, hence it does require a little extra love and concern.

2. Tone

You can take a small amount of any toner available in the market (after consulting your skin expert) and dab it with cotton onto your face, neck and chest.

I’d like to keep this simple and straight.

3. Moisturize

I can’t stress on this point enough. It is absolutely, totally, fully, completely essential to moisturize your skin.

In fact not only your face, every part of your body needs moisturizing with special emphasis for the sun exposed areas.

Please do not forget to moisturize your hands and feet. They are prone to aging as well and tend to get under the weather soon.

Work with you skin expert to figure which moisturizer suits your skin best.

There’s one for every skin type. 4. After the CTM ritual, I strongly recommend this procedure and it is called using the- SUNSCREEN.

No it’s not an option. You’ve got to use it. Doesn’t matter if it’s not sunny or if its raining or snowing or if you’re going for that night party.

Please remember even the artificial lights are capable of emitting rays that are not so good for your skin. Of course when its sunny outside, there’s more need, but you do need to put it on each time you step out of your home.

Apply your sunscreen 20 minutes before you step out.

Ideally you should be reapplying sunscreen every 4 hours.

Again, what sunscreen suits your face can be best worked on with your skin expert.

I would like to sign off from this post, by saying please do not just stock these products at home, but genuinely make them a part of your day and you will see the difference.

Your skin will thank you for the rest of your lifetime.

Stay Beautiful!
