Wanderful Launches New 'Trending in Travel' Conference Track

New sessions for bloggers and content creators will focus on aspects of the travel industry including impact travel, food tourism, and more.
Milwaukee, WI – Wanderful is launching a new track at its fourth annual Women in Travel Summit focusing on the latest trends in travel, in an effort to allow travel bloggers and content creators to become more knowledgeable about the travel industry.

The track, “Trending in Travel,” joins the entrepreneur and media tracks and includes sessions on food tourism, the impact tourism boom, eco-tourism, the use of mobile in travel booking, reaching Generation Z, and more.

Participants will learn from leaders in the travel industry about different and emerging areas of travel as well as how to gear their blog or business to be more in line with the greater travel industry and be at the forefront of change.

It's a powerful thought when you consider that travel -- a universally appealing experience -- could solve some of the world's most pressing issues,” says Kelley Louise, Executive Director of Travel+SocialGood and a panelist and moderator in a “Trending in Travel” session. “Perhaps even more powerful is the fact that it's actually incredibly easy, everyday decisions that have the potential to positively impact our world.”

For Beth Santos, CEO of Wanderful and founder of the Women in Travel Summit, it is essential to be talking about travel trends this year.

“We are not a conference that just talks about technical elements of blogging and storytelling,” Santos says. “We also discuss women’s issues, political issues, and how current climates affect travel. In turn, we are mindful to discuss how the travel industry is changing and growing with every shift to our society, ensuring that we -- as female bloggers and influencers -- are at the forefront of these changes.”

Other speakers in the “Trending in Travel” track include Aassia Haroon Haq, founder and CEO of Guidrr, Inc., Laura Mandala, head of leading travel and tourism research firm, Mandala Research, and Katie Stanwyck, North American Marketing & Communications Manager at TourRadar. Conference attendees can go between all three conference tracks -- entrepreneur, media, and trending in travel -- throughout the weekend.
