Ideas for Your Next Marketing Campaign

Ideas for Your Next Marketing Campaign In a world where almost anyone can start a business and begin trading with the entire world with almost no experience or capital, it is harder than ever before to compete in a crowded market.

That’s why marketing has never been as important as it is today. So the next time you’re putting together a marketing campaign, here are some ideas you might want to work on.

Promotions and Special Offers

One tried and tested marketing tool is a promotion. This works by offering a discount from the normal price of your product, usually for a limited time. This is most commonly used by businesses that want to get customers to try out a new product for the first time, or when they need to clear old stock to make way for new products.

Digital businesses like online casinos and sports betting sites also use special offers that are restricted to new customers, like the ones listed by oddschecker. They are not typically time-limited, but the companies control how often they’re applied through only permitting their use by those creating an account for the first time.

However, promotions like this can have their downsides. Customers can come to expect sales and discounts and will simply delay their purchases until you run your next offer, so it’s important to use them sparingly.

Ideas for Your Next Marketing Campaign Be Funny

People are bombarded with thousands of marketing messages every day. Just taking a ride on a bus or a metro train will see you exposed to dozens of ads in just a couple of minutes. That number will be much higher if you also scroll through your social media at the same time.

With so much noise, you need to find ways to get your marketing message heard. One way to do this is by being funny since you will amuse the viewer and make them want to watch or look at your ad again.

Great examples of funny ads include the Dollar Shave Club video that went viral in 2012 or KFC’s response to the 2018 chicken shortage in the UK. The brand took out full-page ads in newspapers to apologize, which were then accompanied by images of its famous buckets with the letters “KFC” replaced by “FCK”.

Get Emotional

Another way to cut through the noise is by sparking emotions in your viewers. Sometimes, this may be more appropriate than humor and can be just as effective in helping your marketing campaign go viral. This is a common tactic used by Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, and John Lewis. The three companies regularly run campaigns that revolve around the concept of sharing, spreading joy, and creating memories with loved ones.
