Life is Growth
Hello friends, I want to share a very interesting story I came across on Facebook a few days back. This story is the kind which will put its reader into thought to reframe the meaning of growth. Each day we wake up and we grow a day older, is that the meaning of growth? If not, then what is growth? I had these questions in my mind and this small story ended my quest. I'm quite sure many of you will have the same quest and hence I'm sharing this with you, hoping it will end your quest, as it did mine.
On the first day of school, students were asked to get to know about a person whom he/she didn't know before in the class. A boy stood up and found a gentle hand touching his shoulder. On turning back, he found Rose, an 87year old lady offering him a hug. Taken by surprise, the boy asked Rose what made her come to school at that age. Rose gently replied that it was her dream to have college education and now when she had got time she was there.
At the end of the semester Rose was invited for a football banquet by her classmates. In the banquet she was asked to share a few words. Rose said, "We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing. There are only four secrets to staying young, being happy and achieving success. You have to laugh and find humour every day. You've got to have a dream. When you lose your dreams, you die. We have so many people walking around who are dead and don't even know it! There is a huge difference between growing older and growing up."

I hope this small story helped you in your quest for growth. Friends, life is growth, be a child at heart, only a child's heart can bring out the madness in you and the will power to do anything you dream of. Had Rose not been a child at heart, she could have never made her dreams come true. Making our dreams come true is in our hands, no matter how old we are or how crazy our dream is. Can you imagine a 70+ aged person turning into an artist or a 10 year old kid turning out to be a radio jockey? We have such people around us in this very world. Dreams have no age limit and neither does growth!
Dream Big!
