The Under 25 Summit that envisions to educate youngsters in the most entertaining ways, was crowded with nearly 5000 attendees under the age of 25(and those that still feel they are under 25!) from across India. The 4 day summit took place from 5th to 8th of January, 2017 at various locations of Bengaluru, India, with the attendees getting an opportunity to learn from experts from every industry possible, including technology, design, food and entertainment. The event was organized by the Under25 Club, founded by Anto Philip and Shreyans Jain, with a core team of 10 members and 160 volunteers from different colleges of the city. The 4th annual summit successfully instilled in every attendee, the thought of believing in one’s passion and pursuing it. Experience a few moments of being present at the summit, while you follow the read about the happenings of the event, which you might regret not attending (if you haven’t attended), but are sure to stay inspired to be a part of the next one.
Under 25 Summit 2017
The very first day was named the ‘Tech Day’ which focused on helping every tech-aspirant learn from Aditya Nandwana's 6-hours Sound Synthesis Workshop, which filled the room with energy throughout. While each day had a finale, the tech day’s ‘Cryptoparty’ at Church Street Social had a very lively atmosphere with discussions on information security, ways to combat information loss and hacking, and many others. The attendees were also thoroughly inspired by Aprameya Radhakrishna, founder of Taxi for sure, who provided insights on ‘How to run a business.’ The Cryptoparty included a lot of music and movements.

The second day of U25Summit – ‘Design day’, which focused on art and design, was graced by eminent personalities, who infused the attendees with a lot of inspiration, knowledge, and also with equal amount of fun and laughter. The day began with an inspiring discussion, on ‘Moving up- The Staircase Project’ and gender issues. There were also other sessions and workshops on virtual reality, data visualization, Sustainable fashion, Animations using simple tools, augmented dance and others. The set of events were conducted simultaneously at 5 different locations. The day’s finale once again had an abstract discussion on various design subjects.

Next was the ‘Food day’ – the name says it all! It was a daylong celebration of cuisines from around the world curated by world class chefs, young bakers and experts from the F&B industry.

The biggest part of the event being the last day – the grand finale, which was brilliantly hosted by Vineeth Vincent (India's largest Beat boxer), successfully offered an out of the world experience for the attendees, who got to meet their favourite celebrities.  The big names of various industries, from social entrepreneurship to sports, travel, education and entertainment, were all present. Some of them were Ankit Kawatra – founder of Feeding India, Varsha Vinn – Berklee Country Musician, Reshma Qureshi – anti-acid activist, Aadi Dev Pradutt(aged 12) – advanced scuba diver, Sriram Sullia – radio jockey, Kenishaa Francis – Singer Songwriter, JA Chowdary from IIDT, Karun Nair – Cricketer, Asha Bhat – Miss supranational 2014, Vilas Nayak – speed painter, Nihal Raj(still a 6 year old) – India’s youngest Chef, Comedians – Tanmay Bhat, Mallika Dua and Kenny Sebastian, Rammohan Paranjape – surf photographer, R Chakravarthy – Octogenarian Biker, Vinay Patel – travel vlogger and  the list simply continues.

One of the most awaited of all was Arnab Goswami, journalist known for his outspoken nature and passionate brand of reporting, who launched at the event, his independent media agency ‘Republic’, which will revolutionize the way news is reported. Arnab made powerful statements of patriotism, which reminded every attendee of his/her roles as a citizen of the country.

The finale concluded with the music festival and the crowd going back with large amount of inspiration, energy, excitement, enthusiasm, and joy. One must mention the efforts of every individual involved in organizing the event and each of the volunteers, who truly believed in the vision, giving his/her best to ensure the best outcome of the event, hiding stress with a smile on face, helping every attendee with all the needs. The Under 25 team outperformed itself in bringing out an extraordinary experience to these youngsters, giving them all a dream to go back and follow their passion and make it big in their own ways! The next venture of the team is to reach out to 29 cities of the country, providing such experiences to those who have the least amount of opportunities. It is undeniably not an exaggeration to call this initiative a revolutionary movement.
