Renewable Energy PPAs: Analyzing, Structuring, and Negotiating for Bankable Green Investments in Competitive Markets
Infocus International Group, a leading global business intelligence provider of strategic information and professional services, introduces the online masterclass on Renewable Energy Power Purchase Agreements, scheduled to be live on March 12th & August 12th, 2024.
In the contemporary global marketplace of 2020s, both developed and developing economies face an urgent need to master essential techniques and models for transitioning to renewable energy generation. This involves strengthening the reliability of new energy markets and systems through the adaptation and negotiation of the latest models for Renewable Energy Power Purchase Agreements (RE PPAs). Unlike past fossil-fuel-based Independent Power Project (IPP) models, characterized by standardized take-or-pay contracts, today's renewable energy markets demand innovative incentives to attract RE supply, conform to RE generation availability, ensure power system reliability, and establish more attractive and sustainable fuel source mixtures. Governments are grappling with strategies to incentivize new private investments in renewable technologies like solar energy, wind power, biomass incineration, and mini-hydro projects.
This interactive 5-session workshop will offer clear insights into the new models of risk allocation in Renewable Energy PPAs, ensuring project bankability, and enabling RE generators to compete in energy markets and power pools. Real-case examples of RE PPA contracts, renewable project finance transactions, and competitive energy markets will be explored, drawing from Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America.
A participant from the Asian Development Bank stated, “The course had a good balance of both the quantitative and qualitative factors to be considered in project finance modelling. The instructor is experienced yet approachable.”
Another participant from PE Power commented, “It is a very good program for both beginners in Project Finance and as a refresher for practitioners alike.”
Key Reasons to Attend:
1. Gain insights from global success stories and best practices in Renewable Energy Power Purchase Agreements (RE PPAs) to steer clear of common pitfalls.
2. Shape the legal framework of RE PPAs according to your company's risk profile and corporate objectives.
3. Spearhead the development and regulation of competitive electricity markets, fostering the attraction of private investments in renewable power.
4. Formulate explicit incentives for securing bankable private investments in renewable energy generation.
5. Implement techniques for mitigating Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) impacts, ensuring sustainability in your projects.
6. Navigate and orchestrate successful transactions in renewable power project finance.
