Are You Brave?

Thought:
How many times in your life have you held back from doing something new because you were afraid? I know I have done this more times than I can even count. It does cost us something, when we don't give ourselves a chance to try. For one thing we will never know if we would have "grown" from what we may have learned because we were not brave enough to try.

I thought about the people I never would have met, if I had not been brave enough to take the necessary steps. Like for instance, before joining this group and doing the poetry thing, I did not think I had much left in my life to offer to someone, and I never even imagined that people would respond to something I had to say? But then I got thinking if I didn't take the first steps to try, where would not trying have gotten me?

So before I say "No" in the future, I am going to be brave enough to at least take a "look."
are you brave?,courageous
Poem:
Are you a brave soul?
Willing to try something new if it will help you to reach your goal,
Of making it a point to learn something every day,
That you may have something to teach another person one day?

Come on, give "brave" a try,
It may lead you ask yourself why?
Why didn't I try this before?
Why is what I want to know, and while waiting to find out... I will try some more?

I've done this a time or two in my life, but I haven't kept a running score,
And I have been even more flabbergasted, as to why I hadn't tried this before?
Of all the things I have accomplished in my life so far at the age I am,
I have learned that it is never too late to discover if you have the courage to be brave, you might learn something new today... really, you can.

As I look back, I am trying to count the times I dared to brave,
And I think about all the people who took time to teach me in oh, so many ways.
Did you know I can sew, I can knit, I can bake from scratch,
I can do quilting, canning, and painting, play guitar, and write a story and much more if you wanted to know I would tell you if you would ask.

I have also been brave enough to reach out a help my fellow man,
I been brave to research about things in life I did not understand.
I was brave when I needed help and to accept it when it was offered to me.
Being brave at different times in my life lead me down the roads, around the bends, across the hills and mountains, but I still have more to learn, as I have never crossed the ocean or the seas.
