The Lone Tree
The tree stood alone in the frozen field,
It had no shelter from the winds so it could be concealed,
But it stood strong in the years before,
It will continue to stand for many years more.
With it limbs open wide,
Reaching for the sky,
It offers a peaceful view on a very cold day,
Gives you something there to think about when you are traveling on by on your way.
A symbol of strength and courage that it has found,
Boldly enduring the elements as it embraces life all around.
Never afraid of what will come next and is ready to face what may come,
Just stands there all alone, in the frozen field, a source of encouragement for everyone.

It will continue to stand for many years more.

With it limbs open wide,
Reaching for the sky,

Just stands there all alone, in the frozen field, a source of encouragement for everyone.
