International Conference on Internet of Things and Big Data - IoTBD 2016

The first edition of the IoTBD Conference (International Conference on Internet of Things and Big Data) organized by INSTICC (Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication) will take place from 23 to 25 April 2015 in Rome, Italy.

Internet of Things (IoT) is a platform and a phenomenon that allows everything to process information, communicate data, analyze context collaboratively and in the service or individuals, organizations and businesses. In the process of doing so, a large amount of data with different formats and content has to be processed efficiently, quickly and intelligently through advanced algorithms, techniques, models and tools. This new paradigm is enabled by the maturity of several different technologies, including the internet, wireless communication, cloud computing, sensors, big data analytics and machine learning algorithms.
Big Data IotBD 2016
One of the most important contributions that IoTBD brings about is the creation of a high-level forum in collaboration with the most prestigious internationally recognized experts, including names such as Victor Chang, (Leeds Beckett University, United Kingdom) as Conference Chair and as Program Co-Chairs: Muthu Ramachandran (Leeds Beckett University, United Kingdom), Gary Wills (University of Southampton, United Kingdom), Robert Walters (University of Southampton, United Kingdom) and Víctor Méndez Muñoz, (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, UAB, Spain). IoTBD 2016 will have invited keynote speakers, who are internationally recognized experts in their areas, such as Ling Liu, (Georgia Institute of Technology, United States), Peter Sloot, (University of Amsterdam, Netherlands; Complexity Institute Singapore, Singapore; ITMO St. Petersburg, Russian Federation), Verena Kantere (University of Geneva, Switzerland), Donald Ferguson (Dell, United States), Mohammed Atiquzzaman (University of Oklahoma, United States) and Schahram Dustdar (Vienna University of Technology, Austria).
