Layers are anything hindering you from getting to your next level of greatness. Layers can be guilt, shame, fear, anger, self-doubt, procrastination, mommy issues, daddy issues, lack of confidence, feelings of unworthiness, or money issues. The list goes on and on. Regardless of the layers, we have to begin peeling and healing.

Sujit and Loronda sat down to talk about the layers he had to peel in order to reveal his greatness. He provides answers to some of life's greatest mysteries through a thought-provoking conversation.

Sujit Lalwani Interview

Why is it difficult for people to make a decision and take action steps towards their dreams?

Because we get into the pros and cons, the possibilities and we start calculating how much this is going to reward me. All of these distractions cause us to lose momentum and the wonderful feeling behind the initial idea we had, it becomes a great loss. If you move your idea to action immediately instead of calculating pros and cons you will have a better result. Don't get too consumed with the vastness of your dream. Pick one or two basic things you can implement the very moment you dream of something.

What are your keys to success?

Some keys to success are taking accountability, standing up and showing up. Dream big and not allow fear to stand in between and act despite fear. Every time you imagine something, just do it now. If there is something you want to do, do it now. Care little about how you will manage everything because the life that is capable of showing you the dream, the Universe that's capable of showing you the dream is also capable of showing you the potential to achieve it. My key to success is about imagining something then putting down to action immediately without a gap. Once you have a thought, make a decision then go right to implementation.

What were your dreams and aspirations as a kid?

I had aspirations of doing petty little jobs. I wanted to be a bus conductor because I thought it was the cutest and easiest paying job. I thought it was easy because you could give tickets and take money. But what I didn't know was that the money didn't reach your pocket because you had to give it to the enterprise that runs the transport system. In my childhood, I thought the bus conductor made all the money. He talks to all the people and takes up the money, I thought that was a good way to make a living.

As an Inspirational Speaker, why do words have so much power?

I believe words have a lot of power. When I was in grade five, I read a book called "The Power of the Subconscious Mind." The book said if you visualize things they will actually come true. This had a lot of impact on me and I started to give 10 to 15 minutes to visualizing good things happening before going to sleep every night. I always wanted good grades because I wanted to keep my mom and dad happy. I found so much value in visualizing because later in life my words were able to influence people to move cash from their pockets to buy products. When I saw the influence I had through using my words to impact people's decisions, I took it to the next level. If my words are used in such a way that I can immobilize this generation, we will have a better world through social impact.

How can people manifest what they want?

Put up a vision board, start visualizing and create a life of your own which you would love to live rather than letting everything unfold very randomly and then try to make sense out of it or even get bogged down it. Unless somebody can visualize what they really want, it's very difficult to manifest anything in your life. In case you're not visualizing anything, subconsciously you still have visuals on your mind which are very random. Hence, the life that unfolds for you is going to be equally random and bring up challenges and situations you have no idea about. Instead of dealing with something unexpected and unconcerned or things that are very irrelevant to your life, it's always better to decide what you would like to manifest in your life.

What was going on in your life that led you to write a book- 'Life Simplified!'?

I would 't say the Life Simplified Book was a result of where I was, the book was a result of all that I had been through. During my times of introspection, I would think about how much time I actually lost and how much I could have done. The most crucial time of my life was between the age of 18 to 25. I was trying to figure out my interests, where my passion lie, how I could make a difference in the world and what was my purpose.
During those times the complexities of life kept unfolding one after the other. I tried building a business and I see it's not that simple. I tried aligning a team and I see it's not that simple. I tried making sales and I see it's not that simple. I wanted to figure out the purpose for my life and I found out that too wasn't that simple. I wanted to know if there was a hack that I can create to simplify the purpose of life.
