Everyday I attended school,
from childhood to degree.
listened to them preach,
I always wanted to teach.
Work and life,
was rushed and a challenge.
People, places,
parties with soulless faces,
made me withhold and refrain.
I guess I became a recluse,
felt it was all in vain.
Life continued,
and took a toll
13 jobs,
Teacher, Lecturer, Consultant, Coordinator.
Each different, yet similar,
enriching and sapping.
I tasted success,
and climbed the ladder.
Parent, adult or child,
with ease, I would bind.
Best practices, I did rewind.
But there was always
lots on my mind.
Children are angels and all smiles,
fragile, alive and so eager,
each one programmed to be an achiever.
Do remember
we are all here to discover.
that beyond success and goals
we are also heart and souls.
