One of the key factors necessary for socio-economic development is the promotion of global entrepreneurship, particularly amongst the youth, the backbone of every country. In this regard, one of the primary focuses of the Bangladesh National Youth Policy & UN declaration as well as SAARC charter for youth empowerment is the development of entrepreneurship, which not only plays an essential role in ensuring a strong resource for economic development, but is also the key to economic growth.

However, progress is no longer determined by the development of a single country, but rather by the collaboration of countries worldwide. Entrepreneurs, particularly youth entrepreneurs, are no longer national assets, but rather international gems, which if properly nurtured and given the proper platform, can cause the global economy to flourish.

Inspired by the potential of youth entrepreneurship, Dhrubotara Youth Development Foundation (DYDF), a sister concern of Dhrubotara Social & Cultural Organization (DSCO), was initiated in March 2014. Since then it has made numerous contributions to youth development in Bangladesh, “Summit on Entrepreneurship & Leadership Summit (SEL) & “‘Youth Parliament to Explore Future Bangladesh” being one of its many contributions.

In 2014, Dhrubotara organized ‘Summit on Entrepreneurship and Leadership (SEL)’ to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week. Since 2008, Global Entrepreneurship Week is being celebrated across the globe, where during one week each November, people everywhere are inspired through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. These activities, from large-scale competitions and events to intimate networking gatherings, connect participants to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors - introducing them to new possibilities and exciting opportunities.

Appreciating Dhrubotara efforts, and the effectiveness of the summit, Dhrubotara Social and Cultural Organization (DSCO), mother organization of DYDF, was recognized as the Top Partner of GEW celebration in Bangladesh. This year, DYDF is organizing The Global Youth Entrepreneurs Summit 2015 Bangladesh in Bangladesh, to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week. The summit, if properly executed, would be the world’s biggest platform for young entrepreneurs this year. It is to take place during 20-22 November at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC), Dhaka, involving not only national but also international youth entrepreneurs.

Global Youth Entrepreneurs Summit 2015 Bangladesh (GYES) would provide a global platform for Young Innovative and Creative Minds of the world to not only propose their ideas, but also learn from other’s experiences. The Summit aims at supporting and mentoring the delegates to achieve their entrepreneurial dreams and aspirations. Summit agendas are: Different plenary sessions and eight panels on Entrepreneurship, Leadership, ICT & Innovation, Human rights & good governance, Global Economy & Renewable Energy, Environment & Climate Change, Global Citizenship & Future World, Media & Education. We will focus on new innovation, new start up, policy advocacy for their rights and sustainability. We will arrange a innovation fair also-to boost up new initiatives and innovations. We will arrange business to business meeting and entrepreneurship night to focus youth talents, their achievements globally- we want to support them and promote them. We have a strong commitment to promote Bangladesh and our positive achievements globally by this summit and all working plans. 
The Global Youth Entrepreneurs Summit 2015 Bangladesh will be the first of its kind to be held in our coastal region. It will not only be a platform for the collaboration of youth entrepreneurs, but it will also be a light of hope to many, who have it all-the dreams, ideas and determination-but just don’t get a chance to make their dreams into a reality. The summit will promote leadership and will encourage many youth entrepreneurs to take the next step towards realizing their dream, thus will be a stepping stone towards achieving positive socio-economic change globally.
